EX7 - 6000 lumens

For hikers, field techs and search teams: three beam patterns in one head — a 500 m spotlight, a wide floodlight and a balanced mixed beam — switched with one button, at up to 6,000 lumens from a 140 g body.

One flashlight that switches from a 500-metre search beam to a wide work light to a soft trail light, with a single button.

The NiteLab M515S array packs 20 cores behind one lens, so the EX7 reshapes its beam to the task instead of you carrying three lights.

  • 6,000 lumens at the top, reaching up to 500 metres on Spotlight
  • Three beam patterns: Spotlight, Floodlight and Mixed, switched mid-task
  • A single side button runs the whole light, worked one-handed and with gloves on
  • Includes a NITECORE NL2155HP 5500mAh 21700 battery
  • 570 hours on Ultralow, enough to leave it ticking over for weeks
  • USB-C charging from the same cable as your phone
  • Magnetic tail holds the 140g body on steel for hands-free light
  • IP68 rated, submersible to 2 metres, and 2-metre impact resistant
  • Aero grade aluminium body with HA III hard-anodized finish

Nitecore EX7 - Spotlight, Floodlight and Mixed beam patterns in the field - Nitecore Singapore

Three beams, one button, chosen to match what you are doing.

SPOTLIGHT FOR DISTANCE. The focused beam reaches up to 500 metres at 63,470 candela, enough to pick out a trail marker, a ridge line or a figure across a field. It is the beam search and rescue teams reach for when they need to cover ground fast.

FLOODLIGHT FOR THE AREA AROUND YOU. A wide, even wash of light fills your whole field of view, which suits campsite setup, a vehicle repair or picking your way across a boulder field where you need to see feet and hands at once.

MIXED LIGHT FOR EVERYTHING ELSE. A central hotspot with peripheral flood handles trail running, general hiking and around-camp jobs on one setting. Press and hold the side button to cycle the three patterns, and the EX7 remembers your choice for next time.

Everything runs off that one side button, sized for easy one-handed operation, so you can change brightness, swap beam pattern or fire the strobe while the other hand stays on a rope, a tool or a steering wheel. The raised button is easy to find by feel with gloves on.

Nitecore EX7 - 6000 lumens and 500 metre throw with stable runtime curve - Nitecore Singapore

6,000 lumens that holds its output, not a brief flash and fade.

At full tilt the EX7 puts out 6,000 lumens and throws to 500 metres, but the part that matters on a long night is how steady it stays. A constant-current circuit paired with the multi-core thermal design keeps the beam level rather than dropping off the moment the head warms up.

Step down to where you actually live and the numbers get generous. High runs 600 lumens for 5 hours 30 minutes, Mid gives 180 lumens for 15 hours, and Low sips along at 30 lumens for 80 hours. That is two nights of regular camp use with light to spare from a single charge.

WHAT THE EX7 GIVES YOU OVER A SINGLE-LED FLASHLIGHT

Three beams in one head

Spotlight, Floodlight and Mixed from the same lens, where most lights lock you into a single beam shape and one job.

Steadier output

Twenty smaller cores share the heat instead of pushing one core to its limit, so the beam holds its level on a long task.

Built to get wet and get dropped

IP68 sealing handles river crossings and a dunk to 2 metres, and the 2-metre impact rating covers a fall from standing height.

One-button simplicity

A short press cycles brightness, a long press changes beam pattern, a quick triple press fires the strobe. No click codes to memorise.

Nitecore EX7 - M515S 20-core X-shaped LED array - Nitecore Singapore

The M515S array: 20 cores doing the work of one.

NiteLab built the M515S as an X-shaped array, with one high-density central core for long throw surrounded by four high-efficiency cores for flood. Spreading the load across 20 cores lets the EX7 reshape its beam between spot and flood, and it runs cooler than a single core driven to its limit.

The cores sit closer together than the previous generation, a 0.6mm gap against 0.9mm, which blends their output into one clean beam and smooths the transition as you switch patterns. The result is a denser, more uniform beam spot across all three modes.

Nitecore EX7 - magnetic tail holding the light on metal for hands-free work - Nitecore Singapore

A magnetic tail that frees both hands.

The tail magnet holds the full 140g body on a steel surface, so you can stick the EX7 to a car frame, a trailer hitch, a metal panel or the underside of a bonnet and get on with the job. Field technicians lean on this for engine-bay and electrical work where you need light exactly where your hands are.

A two-way pocket clip comes fitted as well, so the same light rides on a belt, a pocket lip or a pack strap and is ready the moment you need it.

Nitecore EX7 - USB-C charging port with charge indicator - Nitecore Singapore

USB-C charging, the same cable as everything else you carry.

The EX7 charges over a standard USB-C port, so the cable that tops up your phone, your earbuds or your power bank tops up the light too. No proprietary lead to lose before a trip.

The indicator around the side button flashes while charging and stays constant once full, and the same ring reads out your remaining power so you know where you stand before you head out.

Nitecore EX7 - IP68 all-weather aluminium body wet on rock - Nitecore Singapore

Built for the weather you actually go out in.

The body is aero grade aluminium with an HA III hard-anodized finish, the same tough surface treatment that shrugs off knocks and scuffs on a busy belt or in a loaded pack.

IP68 sealing means rain, a river crossing or a drop into a stream is a non-event, with submersion rated to 2 metres. Pair that with the 2-metre impact rating and a fall onto rock from standing height is something the EX7 takes in its stride.

WHO REACHES FOR THE EX7

Nitecore EX7 - one-button control and power indication in hand - Nitecore Singapore
Hikers & Campers

At 140g it adds little to a pack, and Mixed beam covers trail and camp while 80 hours on Low sees out a long backcountry trip.

Field Technicians

The magnetic tail sticks the light to metal so both hands stay free, and Floodlight fills an engine bay or panel evenly.

Search & Rescue

The 500-metre Spotlight and a 6,000-lumen burst help teams scan ground and signal across a valley in a tight window.

Security Patrol

Instant high output and a random-frequency strobe at 16 to 20Hz give a quick, effective deterrent on a night round.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does the EX7 come with a battery?

Yes. The EX7 ships with a NITECORE NL2155HP 5500mAh 21700 cell, which delivers the full rated runtimes in the table above. Any quality high-drain 21700 also fits, while 18650 cells do not.

How do I lock it so it cannot turn on in a pocket or pack?

Two ways. Loosen the tailcap a quarter turn to cut power mechanically, then tighten to use. Or, with the light off, press and hold the side button until the indicators flash three times for electronic lockout. It unlocks automatically when you charge it or replace the battery.

Will it keep its brightness on a long task?

The top modes, LUMIN SHIELD and Search, are short bursts, and output steps down as the head warms to protect the LEDs. For steady work choose High at 600 lumens for 5 hours 30 minutes, or Mid at 180 lumens for 15 hours, both of which hold a level beam.
