The filter is the part that protects your sensor
This is the difference between an electronic blower and the cheap bulb in the bottom of your bag.
A blower is only as clean as the air it draws in. The BB Nano pulls air through a unidirectional high-density filter, a 250-mesh weave that is about 25% denser than the 200-mesh filters used in conventional blowers. Fine dust gets intercepted on the way in instead of being fired back out at the surface you are trying to clean.
That matters most on the gear where a stray particle does real damage: an exposed camera sensor during a lens change, a watch face, a mechanical keyboard, the fan intake on a laptop. The filter is a replaceable part, so the protection stays as good as new for the life of the blower.

The BB Nano moves air at 2.6 kPa, which is 73.3% more dust removal pressure than a conventional air blower produces. Wind speed reaches 40km/h on high and settles to 15km/h on low.
Pressure is what lifts dust that has settled into a corner rather than skating over it. It is the reason a short pass clears a keyboard well, and the reason grit comes out of a hinge or a vent instead of being pushed further in.

The BB Nano body can pull as well as push. The attachments that let it do so are sold separately as the NIA007 Extension Vacuum Kit, and they are not included with this blower.

The kit adds a clear dust bin that twists off for emptying, a 250-mesh filter that keeps what you collect out of the air duct, an extended silicone nozzle for narrow gaps, and a brush nozzle for fabric and trim. Owners tend to reach for it on car interiors, desk drawers and camera-bag bases.
Yes, and the filter is the reason. Air is drawn in through a 250-mesh high-density filter, so the blower is not picking up ambient dust and firing it back at the sensor. Use the low setting and keep the nozzle a short distance from the surface, the same way you would with any blower.
How many cleans do I get from one charge?
Around 90 on the high setting and 210 on low, from the built-in 1,300mAh battery. A flat battery takes about an hour to charge over USB-C, and the power indicator shows what is left before you head out.
Does it vacuum, and is that included?
The BB Nano vacuums once the NIA007 Extension Vacuum Kit is fitted, and that kit is a separate purchase. What you receive here is the blower and its silicone nozzle. The kit adds the dust bin, the 250-mesh filter and the two vacuum nozzles.
Can the filter be replaced when it clogs up?
It can. The filter is a serviceable part, and replacements are stocked as the NIA006 Replacement Air Filter. Swapping it restores the original airflow and keeps the intake doing its job.

I've been using the first BB blower for a while now and was so excited when they announced the BB nano and I know I had to get it! I love the first one but it's kind of big and heavy, also concerned about the smaller nano size may affect it's blower strength. Bought it to replace my manual blower, ended up using it for more then dust blowing.. Cooling items and such. Its a powerful blower. But don't compare it to a compressor. Also might not be as strong as compressed air blowers but it does replace manual blowers for sure.
