Does the colour temperature change the brightness?
Yes. Cool white (6500K) is the brightest at 1,500 lumens reaching 132m; neutral white (4500K) gives 1,300 lumens; and warm light (3000K), which renders colour most accurately at CRI 97, runs 1,000 lumens. The warmer, truer light trades a little output for better colour rendering, so you pick the temperature that suits the task.
Is the battery replaceable, and how is it charged?
The 1,500mAh battery is built in and recharges over USB-C, reaching full in about 1 hour 15 minutes with a 5V/2A adapter. There are no cells to carry or swap.
How waterproof is it?
The EDC07 is rated IP67, sealed against dust and submersible to 2 metres for up to 30 minutes, so rain, splashes and an accidental drop in water are no problem. It is not built for prolonged diving.

One of my best purchased in 2026 for a mini portable torchlight. I have been using Nitecore products for many years, but EDC07 will replace my current edc torch light as it is lighter, with 3 lights tone, etc.
Comfortable. Lightweight, bright and a deep carry pocket clip. I showed some pictures below. As you can see it works underwater. It stands on its end to point up, it will lay flat and not roll away on you. It has a deep carry as you can see next to the pocket knife. Battery time if on solid for me is around an hour when I was working on a car. You will give up battery life for it being lightweight. I have worn this throughout the day and forgot I even had it, that's comfortable. If you are looking for an EDC that you can forget about this one is great. If you are someone who is a technician and use a flashlight all day this should only be your backup. It is rechargeable and comes with an included type C charging cable. It also comes with a lanyard if that is your thing.
As a user of Nitecore products for over 5 years, I can happily say this flashlight continues their streak of creating top-notch tools and class-leading flashlights.The EDC07 power and a small footprint. It carries these purposes off wonderfully.The light appears to weigh almost nothing and takes up very little space - definitely putting it in the EDC category. It is capable of casting a staggering amount of light for such a small device. On the highest setting it lit up a city park that is 250' long by 400' wide. The light has a decent amount of spread that cannot be focused to a fine point like some lights, but this is entirely excusable given the small form factor of the EDC07.A light press on the power button turns the light on with it's last setting. Removal of this pressure turns the light off. The switch is instant, allowing you to light up your path for a nanosecond if you wish. A hard press on the power button will keep the light on until it is fully pressed again.The light has different intensity settings that must by cycled through by pressing of the "M" button. It would have been nice to have a switch to select intensity before turning the light on, but again, this was probably disposed of in favor of the small form factor. Strobe and SOS patterns can be selected with combination pressing of the M and power buttons. Holding the M button allows for switching of the color temperature of the light between "warm" and "cool" settings. It might be fidgety to get between all the options, but it is impressive that they were able to squeeze them all in there. The essential functions of the light are easy to access, and those are likely all I'll use.Messing around with the light on an hour long evening walk, mostly on the high setting, didn't even deplete one bar on the charge indicator. There is a USB 3.0 charging port on the bottom with a tight rubber closure, making recharging easy while maintaining the devices water tightness.If you are looking for a light with the power to illuminate a football field in an instant while taking up almost no space and weighing almost nothing, this is what you're looking for.
The first thing tghat impressed me about the Nitecore is how bright it is -- 1500 lumens, which is crazy for a flashlight this size!Of course, its small size means that the batteries aren't going to last all night, but I think most of us use flashlights only briefly.The flashlight itself is a departure from the usual round shape -- rectangular, which makes sense when you consider that you can slide it in a pocket easily -- a round flashlight of the same battery capacity would be thicker.It's pretty easy to use, with a pushbutton that controls both color temperature and brightness. Despite what the web page says, it does have various modes. There's a simple on/off switch, and another that controls both color temperature and brightness, and you use both for the emergency modes. This is not quite as simple as it should be, but neither is it ultra complex.The housing is plastic, which may be a disadvantage where there's a high chance of breakage, but I doubt it will be an issue in ordinary use. It's IP-67 water resistant, a significant plus, and charging is by USB. Finally, it has selectable color temperature -- great if you don't want the painfu bluish light from most LED lights, but I'm not sure how useful it is for a flashlight, considering that brightness diminishes as the color temperature becomes warmer (all LED lights do this). Chargin is by USB.What it is not is cheap at the price it's being sold as I write this. Whether it's worth it, I'll leave up to you. But I will say that its combination of small, pocketable size and extreme brightness is unique in my experience, and could be quite valuable. It also looks cool.
Fantastic flashlight, totally lives up to its name. Super bright. Dosen't get very warm at all. Super light. Seems well made, hopefully equates to being durable. Easy to use, works simply with 2 buttons. Battery life is solid,only had to charge it once so fare. With the clip makes gives it good versatility. Great design over all. Not super cheep but worth the money.
WOW this thing packs a punch! It’s a lot smaller than I expected but that’s a good thing. If it’s very comfortably in your hand, has a nice belt clip as well as a lanyard you can put around your wrist so you don’t accidentally drop it. Charge is very fast with USB-C has multiple lighting modes and I am just really blown away by how bright this little thing is. I typically bring headlamps when we are out backpacking. I have a couple of the night chores and they have been very durable so I’m hoping for the same with this little guy, but my plan was to keep this one at hand in the camper whenever we need it oh and it only weighs 2.6 ounces with the lanyard belt clip and everything

This Nitecore flashlight is absolutely fantastic and I was so excited to get my hands on it! I am always impressed with how much light Nitecore products produce from such a sleek and compact case. This everyday carry light is great because it is long and narrow which allows it to fit so nicely in my pocket without feeling bulky at all. It is incredibly impressive that this small device emits 1500 lumens which is plenty bright for almost all of my daily uses around the house or when we are out and about. Lightweight but yet Tough. Already accidentally dropped a few times from about the height of approx 2m, Torchlight is still able to perform according to Spec. With the availability of 3 types of Colour Selection...it really makes our job more easier. Will definitely be recommending to all my friends & colleagues to give this Torchlight a try......

Nitecore is a solid company, this torch is no exception. I dunno why you'd want three types of light color (without one being red) tho. My daily used to be the edc27 which is a fantastic light, but I fear losing it at work so have now switched to the 07... this one is lighter and a tad smaller so works with clothes better (some lights are so bulky that it's like "is that a flashlight in your pocket or ate you happy to see me"... this one slips in and out, with a dep carry clip.BTW, the 27 has an aftermarket deep carry clip available as the stock clip leaves like 1/3rd the light above the pocket.This 07, a spyderco Yo2, spacepen rubber banded to a chapstick, kimber mako r7, my phone and keys and I'm ready to go... buy this. Bright and has memory. No lockout but the fins above the switch prevent accidental drain (and burning your thigh lol).

Very small and very, very bright
Very bright! Very easy to use. Unfortunately the clip doesn't allow it to be worn on a hat bill like others. It gets warm but not uncomfortably so. All in all I'm very impressed at how long the battery lasts and how bright it is for the price.
First off I’d like to say that NiteCore makes some pretty impressive flashlights and it’s hard to go wrong when you buy one. But when buying their lights pay attention to whom the lights were being manufactured for. Law Enforcement, EDC for regular citizens or work lights best suited to tradesman for example. This light in my opinion is best suited as an EDC for most people. It’s incredibly lightweight , compact and flat, it’s got a nice pocket clip and is very comfortable in hand. It’s small enough and light enough that you will forget you’re even carrying it. It has 4 brightness settings from very low to turbo. It also has three color temperatures. Amber, neutral, cool white. It also has SOS, and blinding strobe mode that can be used in turbo mode as a defensive light. It’s very bright at its highest setting and can hold that beam for a good two hours plus. And speaking of beam. This light has one of the best beam patterns I’ve ever seen for a light at this price. It’s a perfect flood beam that will light up an entire room or illuminate a dark walking path with ease. It’s well built polycarbonate and doesn’t feel cheap. It’s controls are very easy to learn and operate as well. You can’t replace the batteries on these lights. That’s it’s only drawback in my opinion. But as an EDC light you don’t need that feature anyway. It’s for basic lighting tasks. I used it at night in an engine bay to change out a car battery and it worked perfectly for me. I’ve owned many flashlights. I worked in dark underground subway tunnels for nearly 30 years where light is life. Carried 3 lights at all times to cover16 hour shifts. This light would have been perfect as an emergency backup. As an EDC, this light is fantastic and at the current price of $45. It’s an excellent choice. This light replaced my MH12 Pro as my EDC. Not because it’s a better light. But because it’s better suited as an EDC for me.
Let me start by saying I am an absolute flashlight nut, particularly in the EDC and tactical arena. I have recommended this light to more people than any other light. I work in law enforcement both in the overt and covert capacities and rely on flashlights for both. A flashlight is a staple for my EDC, on and off duty. For years and years I carried Surefire and have recently switched to this. A few things...First, I am a huge fan of lights having a "moonlight" mode, typically being one lumen. I use this all the time while working at nighttime. Enough to see what you are doing but not enough to ruin night vision. To me, this is a must for an EDC light.Secondly I love the brightness settings. The turbo mode is solid burst. More of a flooder than a thrower but is plenty bright. That said, it does heat up quite quickly. On that note, it will step down before damaging the light itself which is a good safety feature.Battery life on this bad boy is SOLID. That is another factor that I look at. Not only does it last for a very long time but it takes no time to charge and displays the battery life just long enough to see it before going away. Perfect. The deep carry pocket clip and inset activation button is perfect. No accidental activations and can tailstand on a flat surface. I was initially hesitant about the plastic body but it has proven itself time and time again. Extremely carryable and lightweight.For those who want to use this as a "tactical light", it is doable. although not created for tactical purposes, it has a memory feature. With that, it is no sweat to turn the light onto high or turbo then turn it off, knowing that when you next activate it, it will be on high to blind or stun any type or assailant. The color temperatures are a nice features and I typically use the white for any work situation and the more amber setting for night time EDC use.Ultimately, I cannot recommend this flashlight enough. I have put it through the ringer and it has earned its place in my pocket over time. I have three. Just do it.

Punches way above its weight class for the price.It's not great at spotlighting far away targets but it has the throw to make up for it. The belt/pocket clip is shockingly good when the normal hope is for one to just not suck so bad you have to remove it.

Performance:Nice light with 3 light temp. SOS and strobe is good for emergency situations. Quality:Light weight and compact. Good quality body. If you need a light compact light that can act as a SOS and warning light to others, it is a good consideration as the price is good with vouchers.
So far I have only tested this, but it does get very bright. I bought it for my car because it's flat and can slip in the pocket on the back of my seat. Has four brightness levels and evidently some other modes I haven't figured out yet. The fact that it's rechargeable via USB is a plus.
Easy to use and unlike any other "torchlight", it is very bright, light, and so small that you can carry it wherever you go.
